This is the second of eight feature films in the series.  Released on 10/09/1944, the story line is that Lee Selfridge Nugent (played by Richard Dix) is a drifter ready to lay claim to an old unclaimed bank account of a man with the same name and finds himself the target of two men.  The two men turn out to be the sons of the real Lee Nugent.  The real Lee Nugent (played by Paul Guifoyle) went to prison after his partner turned crook and ruined the business leaving the country with the money and sending Lee Nugent to prison.  The sons are now out for revenge.  There is a surprise twist about the money at the end.

Look for John Calvert at one of the sons in the story line, Eddie Donnelly.  John also played The Falcon is three films and today is a famous magician.

Film credits include Wilbur Hatch for the music.  Also not credited is the voice of The Whistler, Otto Forrest.  The story line is by George Bricker, suggested by the radio program.  The film was directed by William Castle.
