The collection features each broadcast in the series and many times also includes audition performances and sometimes an earlier broadcast in another series that led to its own series.

The Complete Collection Special # 1
The Six Shooter

This series was heard over the NBC network starring James Stewart. While Mr. Stewart appeared in many feature films and radio broadcasts, this is the only radio series to star Mr. Stewart, as Britt Ponset, “the Texas plainsman who wandered through the western territories, leaving behind a trail of still remembered legends.” Included in this collection is Mr. Stewart’s original broadcast on the Hollywood Star Playhouse, the audition recording for the series and the complete thirty-nine NBC broadcasts.

The Complete Collection Special # 2
The Harold Peary Show

This series was created and heard over the CBS network starring Harold Peary after he left The Great Gildersleeve program. The central character was Harold Hemp, who lived with his mother and nephew. While the writing and script developments were good, the series lasted only one season. Heard in these episodes are Parley Baer, Joseph Kearns, Gloria Holliday, Mary Jane Croft, Kathryn Card and others.

The Complete Collection Special # 3
Box 13

Alan Ladd starred as Dan Holiday, a retire newspaper man. Ladd’s character now has turned to writing fiction and to get ideas for his stories, he runs an ad in The Star-Times newspaper, “Adventure wanted, will go anywhere, do anything, Box 13.” This series was produced by Mayfair Productions and syndicated transcribed.

The Complete Collection Special # 4
Frontier Gentleman

This CBS radio western stars John Dehner as J.(eremy). B.(ryant) Kendall, Frontier Gentleman. Kendall was a reporter for The London Times who wrote colorful accounts of his travels throughout the western United States. An outstanding and very entertaining series. This series was the last of the big network programs to air with the coming of the end of radio. This is CBS western programming at its best. The only other program that carries the same dramatic value would have to be GUNSMOKE.

The Complete Collection Special # 7
The Adventures Of Frank Race

This series featured Frank Race, an attorney who turned to a life of intrigue during World War II and continued that life after the war. Tom Collins is featured in the earlier 22 broadcasts and then the role went to Paul Dubov. This series wasy syndicated and the dates that appear for these broadcasts are from the East Coast run. The West Coast series was heard two years later.
