     This series originally started out on CBS as Hallmark Playhouse and was heard from 06/10/48 to 02/01/53 and featured well known stories from literature.  This is the second series and aired between 02/08/53 to 03/27/55, was hosted by Lionel Barrymore and featured stories of Americana.
