The Phil Harris & Alice Faye Show

First appearing on The Fitch Bandwagon from 09/29/46 to 05/23/48. So popular were they’re efforts that they were given their own broadcast under their own name and sponsored by Rexall Drugs.  This comedy series is based on the domestic life of Phil and Alice.  Heard from 10/03/48 until 06/04/50.  After a couple of months on a sustaining bases, RCA took over sponsorship in February of 1951 until the end on 06/18/54, with the 225th broadcast.  Very funny and this series will stand up to anything being produced today.
The cast members were Phil Harris & Alice Faye playing themselves, with Elliott Lewis as Frankie Remley, Walter Tetley as Julius Abbruzio, Jeanine Roose as Alice Jr., Anne Whitfield as little Phyllis, Robert North as Alice’s brother Willie until 1953 then the role was played by John Hubbard and finally Gale Gordon as Mr. Scott.  Also heard in supporting roles were Frank Nelson, Sheldon Leonard, and the Sportsmen Quartet.
