This is one of the few juvenile serials known to be complete in all 178 episodes. For many years, four episodes had been missing in collector's copies of this program, and the sound quality hasn't always been the best. Recently, almost all of the episodes were transferred again from the original electrical transcriptions (ET’s) and digital restoration work brought the audio back to its original sound.
Two stories are contained in this serial. The first story line is 100 episodes in length, and the second, “Speed Gibson And The Atlantian Syndicate,” takes up the balance of the series. As this serial starts, Clint Barlow, Barney Dunlap, Marsha Windfield, and of course Speed Gibson travel to the Orient to do battle with the evil Octopus. Listeners would hear catch phrases such as “Suffering whangdoodles.” Very entertaining 1930’s drama.
