One of radio's best adventure programs. The series was a very intense run from beginning to end. There was rarely a slow or dragging program. ESCAPE took the listener, tired of the everyday grind, and placed him in a perilous world of high adventure and intrigue. Week after week the stories gripped the listener in perilous situations with everything from being trapped in a lighthouse surrounded by millions of ravenous rats to floating on a raft in an empty sea with three thirsty escaped killers and a New Caledonia native unaffected by the relentless sun.

These broadcasts have held the test of time. The broadcast of 11/12/47 "The Young Man With The Cream Tarts," was broadcast as "The Suicide Club" 27 years later on 05/07/74 over the CBS Radio Mystery Theater. Other scripts were also used in the 1970's Radio Mystery Theater like, "An Occurrence At Owl Creek Bridge," "The Fall Of The House Of Usher," & "Diary Of A Madman."
