Western
Film Fair
In Winston Salem, NC from July 15
to 18, 2009, I'll be attending
this convention salute to film
cowboys and cowgirls. This
has been a yearly event since
1978. Among this years
guests are Kathy Garver, Deanna
Lund, Beverly Washburn, Gary
Lockwood, William "Bill"
Phipps, Lynda Day George, Donna
Fargo and many others. The

Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Convention
This year's convention has been
moved up on the calendar a little
from September to August 27 to 29,
2009. This year's guest list
so far is packed nicely. Lee
Meriwether, Academy Award winning
actress Celeste Holm, James Best,
Patty McCormack (The Bad Seed),
Rosemary Rice (Played Betty on
radio Archie Andrews and starred
on television's I Remember Mama as
Katrin), Bob Hastings (Radio's
Archie Andrews and starred on
television's McHale's Navy),
Johnny Whitaker, Diana Sowle.
This convention grows larger each
year. Two dealer rooms this
year. The annual outdoor
movie again (weather permitting),
movies shown 24 hours a day,
plenty of autographs to be had,
live radio broadcasting from the
convention and a great Saturday
night buffet to wrap up this
event. It's held at the
